Reverse gear compulsory.

Width

The overall width of the car must not exceed 180cm.

The wings may not exceed 140cm at the front and 100cm at the rear.

The front wing may not exceed the front-wheel axis by more than 90cm.

Weight

 Minimum weight of the car and the driver must not exceed 600 kg.

Height

A maximum of 95cm overall.

The maximum height of the rear wing is 80cm.

Tyres

All tyres must incorporate circumferential grooves around the entire tyre - parallel to the car.

Each front dry tyre must have 3 grooves and each back dry tyre must have 4.

Drivers can have a choice of 40 dry tyres and 28 wet tyres which are different compounds.

Before qualifying they must decide which type of compound tyres they are going to use.

They are permitted 16 tyres only for qualifying.

Wheels

A maximum of 38.1cm in width.

Fuel

Refuelling is allowed and there is no limit on how much fuel is used.

No oil replenishment is allowed during a race.

Driver Aids

Electronic aids such as

  1. traction control
  2. active suspension
  3. anti-lock power brakes
  4. four wheel drive
  5. supercharging the engine

are not allowed.

Drivers are allowed to download electronic data

No changes can be made to the car from the pits during the race.
