My Personal Info

For those who may be really interested (Yawn !!) here's some personal info:

 

 

 

 

I'm 35 years old (Born - 9th August 1967). I'm happily married to Lynn, with 2 kids (Joshua 10yrs and
Amy 8yrs) - see my family photo page.

Currently I work for Caltex Oil SA as webmaster for their international Site Server based intranet.

I briefly contracted as an internet developer / webmaster / network administrator for web45.com, a fairly new company aimed at IT consulting; internet development and web & email hosting.

Previously I worked for the Metropolitan, Life Assurance Co. as a internet/intranet developer /
webmaster from 1998 for a period of a year.

My IT career started at Old Mutual, Life Assurance Co. as a network administrator / support
person for 8 years in total.

I programmed in mainframe Cobol & online Millennium for 3 years before switching to PC support /
network admin. which I did for 5 years.

I am a local preacher with the Methodist Church of SA. I have stopped preaching for a number of  years, (since my kids were born) but aim to start preaching again in the future.

My hobbies / interests include: Computers (obviously); flight simulation PC games; strategy games (chess;
Warcraft; Redalert; Starcraft, Age of Empires; Dune2000; Dark Reign etc.); playing the keyboard; layman's psychology; factual reading; visiting other homepages & signing guestbooks. I'm also a science fiction and cricket fan.

I have been on the web since the beginning of 1996, but only created my homepage in April 1997.
My main home PC is a PIII 500Mhz; 128MB RAM & about 12gig disk space.  I run a dual boot with Windows 98 & Windows NT 4.00. I also have a networked P200MMX;128MB RAM; 10gig diskspace and  a P166; 64MB RAM; 6 gig disk space and some other networked test PC's. I also use a HP Deskjet 600 printer and a Scanmagic 600 IISP flatbed scanner.

My primary utils are Norton NT Utils 2.0; Norton Utils2000; Norton Commander for NT/95;Norton Antivirus 4.0; Norton NT Tools 1.0 & WinfaxPro 8.0 for NT/95. I use Microsoft FrontPage 97 & 98 and Notepad
for most of my homepage development.
