VITRACE MRF is available as a pleasant tasting chew tablet and a powder for preparing a pleasant tasting balanced energy sports drink containing carbohydrate (fructose) minerals and vitamins. The daily requirements of sportsmen during strenuous exercise can be as much as 10 times or more than that of a normal active person. 12 grams of the powder (2 X 5 mL measurefuls) dissolved in 200 mL water makes a pleasant tasting isotonic drink.
VITRACE MRF contains no artificial colourants or preservatives.
WHY VITRACE MRF?
VITRACE MRF contains fructose as energy source, and glycogen, the body's energy store, is formed in the liver much more efficiently from fructose than from glucose.
Fructose does not require insulin for its transport into the body cells, nor does it stimulate the release of insulin. This means that stable blood sugar levels are ensured with the conversion of fructose into energy during excercise. (Unlike glucose or sugar.)
Fructose does not slow down gastric emptying (unlike glucose, sucrose, maltose, maltodextrin or starch.) This means that VITRACE MRF does not give an uncomfortable "full stomach" feeling during exercise and can give a faster replacement of minerals lost in sweat, as well as rapid rehydration and a quicker restoration of energy.
HOW SHOULD VITRACE MRF BE PREPARED?
Dissolve two 5 mL measurefuls (12 g), or the contents of one sachet (12 g), in 200 mL cold water for a pleasant isotonic drink. If the solution is made up more than 4 hours in advance, it should be stored well chilled to prevent the nutrients from breaking down. Do not store for longer than 36 hours.
WHEN SHOULD VITRACE MRF BE TAKEN?
VITRACE MRF CHEW TABLETS should be chewed or sucked as required to sustain constant energy levels. Tablets should be chewed or sucked before, during, and after strenuous exercise. 50 to 60 mL water taken with each tablet chewed or sucked will ensure maximum energy utilisation and help restore fluid lost during exercise.
Take VITRACE MRF before, during and after vigorous training programmes. Take VITRACE MRF 15-30 minutes before and during exercise to replace nutrients lost during exercise. The quantities to be taken should be adjusted according to the type of exercise and the temperature and humidity during exercise. Avoid taking too much food during exercise as this will slow down the rate of stomach emptying.
VITRACE MRF should especially be used after exercise to quench thirst, replace lost vitamins and minerals and restore energy.
