In a palatable syrup base
Preservatives:
Methylparaben 0,06% m/v
Sodium Propylparaben 0,04% m/v

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION
AKTIVAKID contains the basic substances which are important to the growing child and possesses a regulative and anabolic action.
The liver extract with vitamin B12is prepared by a process which preserves activity of the extrinsic factor.
The yeast extract is a pure and highly concentrated cellular extract - not the common dried yeast.
Ferric glycerophosphate is a readily assimilable form of iron which is essential during the main growth period - from the first year of life through infancy and adolescence.
Lysine is an essential amino-acid which must be supplied to the body. The lysine requirements of infants and young children are relatively twice as great as those of healthy adults. Lysine improves appetite and growth in young children.
Properties include:
Yeast extract in the form of a pure and highly concentrated cellular extract
Extrinsic factor fully preserved in the Liver extract
Calcium utilisation in bone structure increased
Amino-acid nutrition and protein balance improved
Well-balanced combination of liver, enzymes, co-enzymes, iron and amino-acid (lysine)
Taste well liked by children.
Counteracting anaemia and fatigue

INDICATIONS
In infants (see special dosages) and children for the treatment and prevention of anaemia, fatigue, loss of appetite, lack of concentration, general lassitude. Also in convalescence and slow physical and mental development. Also useful for the highly-strung, nervous child.
In maintenance treatment, for increasing resistance to chronic colds and repeated minor infections

CONTRA-INDICATIONS

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Infants 6-12 months: half medicine measureful once daily in the feed or boiled water
1-3 years: one medicine measureful once daily
4-12 years: one medicine measureful two or three times daily
13 years and above: up to two medicine measurefuls two or three times daily
Maintenance dose: up to two medicine measurefuls once a day
AKTIVAKID is exceptionally well tolerated and readily accepted by children especially when added to milk, fruit juice or ice-cream.
