COMPOSITION:
Each 5 mL contains:
  Tincture Valerian         2,38 mL
  Tincture Lavender Co.         0,24 mL
  Solvent Ether         0,26 mL
  Ethanol (100%)         55,0% v/v

PHARMACOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION:
A 2.9 Central Nervous System Depressants: Special Analgesic Combinations.

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
The tincture valerian and tincture lavender compound have a carminative action, and the solvent ether has a carminative and a narcotic action.

INDICATIONS:
For the treatment of hysteria, other nervous conditions, colic and cramps, it relieves flatulence in the gastro-intestinal tract.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Sensitivity to any of the active ingredients. Respiratory depression and acute alcoholism.

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
For pain and cramps: 2,5 mL (Half a medicine measure) to be taken every 15-30 minutes until the pain has been relieved.
For nervousness, anxiety and sleeplessness: 2,5 mL (Half a medicine measure) 3 times a day.

SIDE-EFFECTS AND SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
Nausea, vomiting diarrhoea. Irritation of the urinary tract and aggravation of pre-existing inflammatory conditions. The central nervous system may either be depressed, leading to stupor and respiratory failure, or stimulated, leading to excitement and convulsions.

KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND PARTICULARS OF ITS TREATMENT:
The stomach should be emptied by aspiration and lavage. A saline purgative such as sodium sulphate (30 g in 250 mL water) can be given, unless catharsis is already present. Demulcent drinks may be given. Large volumes of fluid should be given provided renal function is adequate.

IDENTIFICATION:
A bright brown liquid with a pleasant odour.

PRESENTATION:
Bottles of 20 mL.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Store below 25°C.
Keep container tightly closed.
