At Tokologo Tours & Safaris we only do TWO personalised custom flower tours annually for groups of a minimum of 2 persons and a maximum of 7 persons.

Usually one in the last week of August and one in the first week of September each year. (Dates are decided depending on rain patterns and the expected best times for flowers.)
Namakwaland Flower Tours - 2010 Season
CAPE TOWN Departures
Depart from Cape Town - North on the N7 through the Swartland wheat lands past Malmesbury (+62km), Moreesburg (+32km), Piketberg (+30km), over the Piekenierskloofpass near Citrusdal (+45km) to Clanwilliam (+55km) - visit the Clanwilliam Flower show and the Ramskop reserve, then further to Vanrhynsdorp (+30km). Visit the well known Vanrhynsdorp cacti nursery. Accommodation: Vanrhynsdorp (DB&B)
DEPARTURE FROM CAPE TOWN
Day 1: Cape Town to Vanrhynsdorp (+385km)
Depart further on the N7 - North past Nuwerus (+70km), Bitterfontein (15km), Garies (+82km) (Buy some honey from Namakwaland veldflower nectar - produced by Adriaan Nieuwhoud), here we leave the N7 via the dirt road over the Studer'spass to the Missionary Station at Leliefontein over the Kamiesbergpass to Kamieskroon (+65km) Accommodation: Kamieskroon (DB&B) Day 2: Vanrhynsdorp to Springbok (+232km)
Depart futher up the N7 - North to Springbok (+87km) and visit the Goegap Nature Reserve and the Hester Malan veldgarden, then travel to Okiep (+8km), Concordia (+10km) and Nababeep (+20km) Visit Springbok (+20km) with all its precious and semi-precious stones and history.

Accommodation: Springbok (B&B)
Day 3: Kamieskroon to Springbok (+172km)
Visit the Namakwa National Park and Tortoise Wild Garden via the Spektakelbergpas, Kilian'spas and Grootvleipas to Kamieskroon and back to Springbok.

Dinner at the welknown Jopie Kotze's Restaurant this usually is an unforgettable experience.
Day 4: Explore the area beneath Spektakelberg (+200km)
Depart from Springbok to Kamieskroon, Garies and Vanrhynsdorp (+260km) and via the Vanrhynspas to Nieuwoudtville (+51km) visit the waterfall and travel to the Quivertree Forest and the unique circle route through some of the farms where the vast countryside is covered with succulents in shades of yellow, lilac and red. Accommodation: Nieuwoudtville (DB&B) Day 5: Springbok to Nieuwoudtville (+311km)
From Nieuwoudtville to the Oorlogskloof Nature Reserve (+25km) and after that back to Cape Town (+300km) Day 6: Nieuwoudtville to Cape Town (+400km)
 
PRETORIA Departures
Day 1.
Departing from Pretoria we travel to Upington where we visit the Oranjerivier Wine Cellar and dried fruit farm stall
Day 2. Depart for Springbok via Kakamas, Augrabies waterfal and Pofadder
(Few sights are as awesome or have a sound as deafening as the water thundering down the 56 meter Augrabies Waterfall when the Orange River is in full flood. The Khoi called it 'Aukoerebis', meaning "place of great noise".)
Day 3. From here we follow the track of the Cape Town departure tour in reverse to Nieuwhoutville from where we head back through the Karoo via a night in Kimberley to Pretoria
